Armodoxy for Today: Simplicity

Jesús tuiteó. No es un chiste, ni pretende escandalizarte, ni tampoco busca hacer a Jesús contemporáneo. Dios nos libre. Jesús y su mensaje son siempre contemporáneos y, por lo tanto, relevantes para ti. Más bien, decir que "Jesús tuiteó" es simplemente usar un término actual para describir un medio muy eficaz mediante el cual Jesús se comunicaba contigo. Sus mensajes eran concisos, sencillos y directos.

“Si el grano de trigo no muere, queda solo”, es un tuit. (Juan 12:24)

“Mi familia son los que escuchan la palabra de Dios y la ponen en práctica”. Otro tuit. (Mateo 12:50)

“Trata a los demás como quieres que te traten a ti” y “Amen a sus enemigos. Oren por quienes los persiguen”, son dos ejemplos más. (Mateo 7:12, Mateo 5:44)

When the platform “X” first came out, it was known as Twitter, and the messages were called and still are called Tweets. At the beginning, users were limited to 140 characters to articulate an idea, a thought or a message. It was a true challenge to the user to simplify a message. We’re invited to do the same with our Faith, to find God’s voice in the simplest expression. The petal of a flower, the smile of a child or the touch of a friend in need, are starting points in Armodoxy.

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me… for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” (Matt. 19:14)

Let us pray the first and simplest prayer that a Christian must know: Lord, have mercy on me. Amen.
