Epostle.net Reveal Party – Prepares for September 25 Launch
High atop a rooftop in Monrovia, California, the newest ministry of the Western Diocese, Epostle.net, was revealed by Fr. Vazken Movsesian in preparation of a September 25 launch.
Under the auspices of His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Epostle.net, becomes the newest ministry of the Western Diocese, focusing on electronic transmission of the Gospel message for today’s world.
The epostle.net, pronounced ēˈpäsəl (apostle with a long “e”) dot net, is apostolic evangelism for an electronic world. The ministry will work in concert with the current Diocesan Media Department, which boasts an extensive library of multimedia productions from the last two decades. Epostle.dot will become a hub for new outreach, exploiting the potential of technology. The first broadcast under the epostle.net banner took place in the 2000 with the streaming of the Holy Badarak, by Fr. Vazken Movsesian at the St. Gregory Church in Pasadena. The success of that stream laid the groundwork for podcasts, vodcasts, educational and artistic content and the latest Web 3.0 productions.
The entire Epostle.net experience will be launched on September 25, 2022 following the Divine Liturgy at the St. Leon Ghevondyants Armenian Cathedral. The reveal party offered an introduction to the praying community, locally as well as many who joined online, from as far away as Australia. The event was hosted by Harout & Maria Hamparian at Avalon rooftop in Monrovia. For more information about the launch, log onto https://epostle.net and “countdown” with us.
