Post-Election Determinism

Next Step #440: The campaign is over, finally, and that’s about the only thing that is over. Beyond politics, some metaphysics in this post-election analysis a la Armodoxy. Connecting dots: Free Will & Determinism, Responsibility & the State, Trump & Hillary and a few more. New language: new ends for new means.

Orange Color Politics

Next Step #439: Politics is front and center in this episode as Fr. Vazken visits his childhood church, remembers the ugly politics inside the church and now  on the world stage with US elections in a few days. Social ethics – the importance of self-determination and a rejection of destiny, finding the tools to make our decisions. A metaphysical discussion has political and practical implications and applications in our world today. And no, we don’t serve on the altar!

Missing Link of Revenge

Next Step #438: Revenge is sweet they say, but never like this. It comes in the form of answering the Armodoxy puzzle and providing a missing link to the equation of love. It all comes down to patience: watch out instant-grats! Also – Prayer of healing, Naregatzi. American politics – voting for the lesser of two evils doesn’t make it right. It never has – or so we experiment and find out. The ethnic vote – Antonovich’s miscalc.

Mess without Poetry

Next Step #424: A look at the messiness of political situations and unrest in the world; answers on the spiritual plane in the absence of Church. Too little, too late… and not even a prayer? Themes of non-violence, seeking justice, pursuit of happiness and the changes from the 60’s to today.  More on the bait and switch as found in Pokemon (#423). Coup in Turkey, Unrest in Armenia and the Trump wild-card, all in this edition.

Power Tools

Next Step #422:  Understanding the purpose of tools in getting the job done. The illusion of power through social media, the strength of religion to build and the unnoticed dangers of politics. Metaphysical Paralysis

Next Step #412: From accidents to determinism, the factors that defy fatalism make for a background to a metaphysical analysis. The aftermath and afterglow of 101 years and counting. Political myth and hype that keeps the masses entertained. Opportunities missed and the next step.

Props for the Play

Next Step #410: Quest for Peace – a different way of looking at responsibility in Artsakh & Armenia. As clergy are placed as props* in the grand opera, here’s a chance to reject political agendas and opt for self-determination in sync with Christ’s invitation. Taking Christ OUT of the Church is not too bad when you realize it’s demanded by Christ Himself. Much food for thought in this edition.

Worse Odds than the Lotto

Next Step #397: No statistician necessary for this one – we hit two jackpots in one-week, both with worse odds than the $1.5B PowerBall but with much bigger payouts. Life-stories from the world of Armodoxy and one from Las Vegas (at the border) – odds you can live with. Religion, politics and more.

Next Step 381: The Blessings that come with the Holy Miuron – part 2 (continued from last week #380) of the Miuron Blessing. Also – Pope Francis in the US and his remarkable remarks before Congress. Next Step #374:  “The world is changing, I didn’t know where I fit in…” said the Butler, and so the challenge begins.
